As many of you may know, the NSA has been spying on us for years. This includes tapping phone calls, reading emails and surely much worse. You shouldn’t be surprised. Instead of sitting here and complaining about it we like to focus on taking action. So lets begin.
Teamwork: Now more than ever you will need at minimum a handful of close friends you trust. This means you must be able to trust at least five people with all of your information including your gmail passwords, bank account routing numbers etc. Why? If you are wrongly accused for doing something illegal you need to be able to draw down all of your assets and move them out before anyone can freeze your accounts. This may sound crazy, but it really is not. If someone hacks your identity and then digitally frames you for a large heist you will be locked down quickly. People are stealing identities left and right and there is nothing that can be done about it.
Be Invisible: If you choose to be invisible it will cost you some serious money and you likely have opinions that offend the government. You’ll need to have multiple IP’s and phones running around the world so at minimum the good old government does not know where you are. This includes a blog, posting on internet forums and even setting up multiple bank accounts for your business. Assuming you have a team working on multiple projects you can simply use one IP and one created identity to run the business and disburse information. This way everything is linked to a single IP and when it gets shut down you have multiple other IP’s and locations to immediately re-post clearing your name quickly. We’ve chosen to be invisible.
Be Transparent: This is the solution we would generally recommend. In this case you need to be entirely transparent about your life and you will be stronger for it. Instead of making up information when you apply for credit cards you must give entirely accurate information at all times. In the future all of your information will be accessible to the government so there is no use in lying. By being entirely transparent it will be entirely clear when someone attempts to steal your information.
Open Front Door: Notice that none of our ideas surround the idea of locking hackers out. This is simply dated technology. At this point there are too many intelligent hackers (Anonymous comes to mind) that can easily access all of your information. If you believe a simple anti-virus software or firewall will protect you from hackers you’re playing with fire.
Befriend A Hacker: This is the final step to improving your identity protection, particularly if you are dispersing information that could get you fired. If you can befriend a high level hacker, you will be in good hands. You can now quickly track down weak attacks on your business or blog and in turn you should find a way to help him out in any way you can since a high level hacker will be one of the best friends you can make in the future.
