Starting Out Parked.
Hit the switch for the tunes to get into the mood.
Slip on the outfit you wouldn’t have fun without it.
Start the Engine
The engine is humming its time to get running.
Approaching the club no need for lines they are a waste of your time.
Glancing at the bouncer the music is getting louder
Both of you open up the gait.
Flag down the bartender the drinks are on the house but you throw down some cake its not worth a costly social mistake.
You’re sippin slippin into a trance as people begin to dance.
Ten minutes to eleven you spot a seven.
Up Shift.
Someone gets there first but fortunately all he does is mumble. Welcome to the jungle he’s about to take a tumble. Pick up this young man’s fumble.
You can’t overcome temptation and ask her about his skills in the conversation.
A laugh and a smile, you’re turning up the dial.
She throws a curveball by asking something logical and you respond with something comical
Before she can think you have two orders in a blink and are having a drink
The dance floor is just as crowded as the door.
Up Shift.
You’ve been here before. She’s about to talk… but someone is coming over with a confident walk.
Handshake. All smiles. A quick exchange and your group of three spawns to seven as you’re always situated in the traffic zone
After holding conversation you realize the younger crowd is starting to get loud… It’s time to
Up Shift, Up Shift
At a regular pace you swiftly move to the pulse of the party and *accidentally* bump into a group of five
The younger guy is on drink nine but that’s fine you see girl number two has no interest in you (win win in your head)
Dancing and entertaining four, girls number two is forced closer to man on drink nine. Naturally a sloppy makeout begins.
In typical fashion… A chain reaction. Several pairs have already split and the club is at its max patrons for the night.
People are spilling, it’s time to make a killing.
Up Shift
You pull one out of the group, and dance on one as we all know you’re nowhere near done
You exchange a quick glance with the girl from before, she’s in a conversation but her body is positioned towards the dance floor
Before the song ends you drop the group and stop to recoup
“OMG thank you for saving me I was so bored!”
Your only response is a devlish smile. You take her left hand and walk towards the bar
No line for you. No rookie mistakes. A simple motion for two and you’re both on drink number three.
As you’re taking your first sip, you slip a tip over the ledge… just out of her line of sight
Down Shift
“How come everyone knows you?” she asks
As mentioned already when asked something logical and you respond with something comical
You decide to dance for twenty and realize its time to leave, while others are slurring all engines are purring
“Lets go”
She nods and agrees (your right hand is already setting up a cab)
Grab the purse and coat and as you exit the car is right out in front.
“How did you know I wanted to leave?” she asks
The flirting is over, no need to remain in entertainment mode. You acknowledge her feelings “I thought you were feeling tired from standing in those heels all night.”
“Ya I was!” she says and responds with a smile.
Shut Off the Engine
