Stagnation is Death

One thing we know for sure about death is this: your body stops moving. There is no doubt about this fact, our hearts stop beating, our lungs no longer will with air and we no longer create new cells.

Lets take a look at how to apply this to our everyday lives.

Brain: Our brains are facinating and can degrade over time. Many of us have been through binge drinking fits to stress tests for exams. The difference is that alcohol allows your cognitive brain to rest while tests force them into sixth gear. To force our brain to move we must challenge it, learn a language, practice meditation and read complicated algorithms. Extra points if you learn applicable knowledge such as books on health that you then apply to your life to live longer and healthier.

Heart: This part is tricky as there are really two elements to the heart, emotion and cardivascular fitness. Next to the brain the last thing we want to die is the heart, so challenge it as often as possible. You can put your heart through emotional turmoil by taking a trip through the Favelas of Rio De Janeiro or attending a funeral of a close friend. You can challenge your cardiovascular fitness by getting off the “eliptical” and sprinting hard on a bike to the point of failure. Extra points if you can save a person’s life from a burning building, respect.

Muscles: Many people want to have “big muscles”, but are they really being used at 100%? Challenge the true strength of every cell in your legs, arms, chest, shoulders, abs and back, Floyd Mayweather Jr. comes to mind as a pound for pound, centimete by centimeter beast of a man. If you can lift 200lbs+ in the gym but would last 5 mins tops in a grappling match… best to increase your power. Extra points if you can combine your fitness with a real hobby such as body building or mixed martial arts.

Location: Maybe you live in no-where Idaho or New Mexico. The solution? Get the fuck out. By seeing thesame folks over and over and living a constantly flat environment you’ll be unable to adjust to change rapidly. Get out of that suburb and move to a bustling city, force your body to adapt. Unless you’re working on the next Macintosh in a garage, get out of your comfort zone. Extra points if you make the move without a major job lined up, my hat is off to you for being a man and challenging your entire life.

Work: Everyday should spend some time finding something he enjoys and pays well. So quit jobs early, quit a lot and find something you enjoy. No you’re not going to become a billionaire working as a teacher, however if it ends up being your passion someone who loves to teach could become a high end fitness instructor, professor or coach. The creme de la creme is at the top. This also helps with the whole Riches over Bitches thing. Extra points if you found your passion early in life and realized there are no second chances.

Conclusion: Water is always a great example of life. A free flowing river and the vast ocean are filled with living organisms that could kill a man or make him feel rejuvinated. Still water? Death. No where are we implying that one should attempt to change everything in a single second. Instead of allowing a piece of our souls to die pick a category and make a tweak, you’ll feel alive again. Keep moving, keep searching, keep at it, before you know it you’ll feel alive all the time.

PS: This is also why having a girlfriend can be terrible, your game goes down. So you should always be hitting on new bitches. Otherwise? You are in the same routine over and over again. Don’t let this be you.
